Motolite, the country’s leading automotive and motorcycle battery brand, has been chosen by the AAP (Automobile Association Philippines) to be its exclusive supplier for the battery needs of its members.

AAP is the country’s biggest and oldest existing auto club. Founded in 1931, AAP is a non-stock, non-profit organization committed to the general welfare of motorists in the Philippines. To date, the club has 15,000 active members who benefit with its services such as 24/7 Towing service, LTO Registration Assistance, Insurance products and other services.

The contract signing between Motolite and AAP took place at the Main Office of AAP in Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City last September 19, 2010. The ceremony was attended by Ms. Melissa Valdez, Product Manager of Motolite, Mr. Jason Galang, Branch Manager of Motolite Batteryworld-Maceda outlet, and members of AAP’s Board of Trustees.

According to Ms. Karen Strawford of AAP, “We are grateful to start a strong co-marketing partnership with Motolite. AAP members will certainly look forward to have in their cars a battery brand that is tested for its quality and reliability.”

Motolite batteries are manufactured by Philippine Batteries, Inc. Maria, Bulacan, is one of the largest and most modern battery manufacturing facilities in Southeast Asia. It also has the country’s only ISO 14001-certified, environmentally-compliant recycling facility, the second biggest in Asia.
